Fucithalmic Eye Drops contain the topical antibiotic, fusidic acid 10mg/g for the treatment of eye infections and styes.
Fusidic acid is a broad-spectrum antibiotic in a gel formulation used as an eye drop to treat bacterial conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and infections of the eyelash hair follicle. Fusidic acid is released slowly from the gel to provide long-acting treatment against the bacteria causing the infection.
One drop is applied to the affected eye or area of concern twice daily and treatment should be continued for at least 48 hours after all signs of infection appear to have resolved, to prevent recurrent infection.
