Sofradex Sterile Ear/Eye Drops contains two antibiotics and a corticosteroid to treat inflammatory conditions with bacterial involvement in the ear or eye.
The combination of two antibiotics, Framycetin sulphate and Gramicidin is intended to provide a broad-spectrum treatment against bacterial infection while the corticosteroid, Dexamethasone reduces inflammation, swelling, pain, and itch.
Sofradex is suitable for treating infections of the outer ear and ear canal as well as eye infections.
Two to three drops should be applied to the affected ears or eyes three or four times daily or as directed by your physician. Sofradex is not intended for long term use and symptoms should resolve within seven days.
