Tobrex Eye Drops contains the antibiotic, tobramycin and is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye.
Conjunctivitis is an infection of the lining of the eyelids and the surface of the eye. It is commonly known as pink eye and is accompanied by discharge, itching, visual impairment, sensitivity to light and pain.
Treatment with Tobrex eye drops kills the bacteria that are predominantly involved in causing eye infections such as Staph. aureus, Strep. pneumoniae, Haemophilus and Moraxella.
One to two drops of Tobrex eye drops are instilled in the conjunctival sac every four hours (or more frequently in the case of more severe infections) for 7-10 days.
