Treatment with Tobrex eye ointment kills the bacteria that are predominantly involved in causing eye infections such as Staph. aureus, Strep. pneumoniae, Haemophilus and Moraxella.
A small strip of eye ointment is applied to the conjunctival sac two to three times daily or more frequently if the infection is severe and continued for at least two days after the symptoms appear to have resolved.
