Breo Ellipta 200/25 contains two active ingredients: Fluticasone furoate 200mcg and Vilanterol 25mcg. Fluticasone furoate is an anti-inflammatory to help prevent inflammation in the lungs which is the underlying cause of asthma. Vilanterol is a long acting bronchodilator to help keep the airways open making it easier to breathe.
Typically, Breo Ellipta is used once daily in the morning to help control chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or asthma. The two active ingredients work together synergistically to block the inflammatory chemicals that cause asthma and to keep the airways open facilitating easier breathing.
Each pack of Breo Ellipta contains enough medication for 30 days’ treatment.
