Kenacort-A 40 ampoules contain triamcinolone acetonide, an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid for injection.
Kenacort-A 40 is injected directly into painful muscles, joints, and tendons at the site where the pain is experienced. Kenacort-A 40 may also be used to treat inflammatory skin lesions, and psoriasis plaques. Typically, Kenacort-A 40 is used when other treatment options have failed or are unlikely to be effective. Examples of conditions where Kenacort-A has been effective include tennis elbow, rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis and other painful joint or tendon conditions.
The dose and frequency of injections will depend on what is being treated and how effective the response to treatment is.
