Dilantin is considered to be a multi-purpose medicine with usefulness in treating irregular heartbeat (arrythmia), nerve pain and certain mood disorders.
It is not recommended to cease using Dilantin unless instructed by and under the care of a physician as the potential for seizure risk may be severe.
The dose that is taken depends on the condition, your body weight, and the recommendation of your doctor with doses spread over the day two or three times.
