Stieva-A contains tretinoin 0.05% in a cream base for treating acne, age spots and fine wrinkles.
Tretinoin is an active metabolite of Vitamin A that is used to treat acne vulgaris, to help clear and prevent blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. Tretinoin is a keratolytic, a class of medications used to remove excessive skin cells that can block hair follicles. Skin cell turnover is increased which helps reduce pimples and the spread of acne.
Hands should be washed before and after application of Stieva-A cream which is preferably done in the evening after first washing the face. A thin application is best, and no further benefit is received by applying Stieva-A thickly.
