Retin-A Micro-Gel contains tretinoin 0.04% in a gel formulation in a pump pack for ease of administration.
Tretinoin is an active metabolite of Vitamin A that is used to treat acne vulgaris, to help clear and prevent blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. Tretinoin is a keratolytic, a class of medications used to remove excessive skin cells that can block hair follicles. Skin cell turnover is increased which helps reduce pimples and the spread of acne.
Hands should be washed before and after application of Retin-A Micro-Gel which is preferably done in the evening after first washing the face. A thin application is best, and no further benefit is received by applying Retin-A thickly.
