Yasmin tablets prevent egg maturation, suppress ovulation, and keeps cervical mucus thick providing a physical barrier to sperm, preventing pregnancy.
Yasmin tablets are best taken one tablet daily at the same time each day, with pregnancy cover lost if a pill is missed, until such time as seven continuous days of treatment have been resumed.
Yasmin tablets do not provide protection against sexually transmitted diseases.
