Brevinor-1 tablets are an oral contraceptive pill containing two active ingredients to prevent pregnancy.
Brevinor-1 contains a synthetic oestrogen, ethinyloestradiol 35mcg and a synthetic progestogen, norethisterone 1mg (also known as norethindrone) with a success rate of 99% in preventing pregnancy. There are 21 active tablets in a pack and 7 inactive tablets.
Brevinor-1 tablets are taken once daily at the same time each day for 21 days per menstrual cycle with a 7-day break. There are 7 inert tablets that may be taken to assist with the habit of taking one pill once daily. Menstrual periods are usually lighter and less painful, when taking Brevinor-1.
