Fucicort cream contains an antibacterial agent, fusidic acid and a corticosteroid, betamethasone and is used to treat inflamed skin conditions with secondary bacterial involvement.
There are many inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis where a secondary bacterial infection may occur and complicate an already uncomfortable situation.
Fusidic acid kills the bacteria while betamethasone, a potent corticosteroid helps to reduce the swelling, inflammation, and itchiness found in moderate to severe dermatoses.
Hands should be washed before and after use and Fucicort should be applied twice daily for up to two weeks. If the condition is not resolved in this time frame further advice should be sought.
