Previcox tablets contain firocoxib 57mg, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug in the Cox-2 inhibitor class and is used to treat pain and inflammation found in dogs with osteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis is a painful inflammatory condition affecting the legs, hip and spine which causes restriction in a dog’s ability to move normally.
Previcox containing the Cox-2 inhibitor, firocoxib supresses the inflammatory processes seen in osteoarthritis and helps relieve the symptoms. A reduction in pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints is seen and normal activity can be resumed.
The dose given is according to your veterinarian’s recommendation and takes into consideration the size and weight of the affected dog.
